I am of African origin and my hair fell out after years of tight braiding. I felt really embarrassed and for many years I wore a wig. Being quite sporty I found this was not practical so decided to have a hair transplant..

HTS was very supportive providing advice and guidance before and after surgery. The initial consultation took place at home which I found was less intimidating and the surgery took a couple of hours.

Intially there was slight discomfort and swelling but after day 3 thle swelling disappeared.

I am now 10 days post surgery and waiting for my hair to grow in the next 12 months. I would recommend HTS.

Thank You

Thought about it a lot, read about it a lot ! After 2 years procrastinating I googled ‘hair transplant ‘ and chose some numbers to ring. I rang HTS clinics first and spoke to Mark. Now, even though he’s a Utd. supporter, ( I’m a big Liverpool fan), he was thoroughly professional, reassuring, friendly and very knowledgeable and within ten minutes I was happy to organise a home visit. Risky , I know, but I never rang any other clinic having spoken to Mark.

Chris called at my house and he too allowed me to feel very confident about what lay ahead. He took pictures which were sent to the surgeon. After a few days I fixed a date for the transplant.

By the time the day arrived I’d religiously followed the list of what I couldn’t and could do a week or so prior to the transplant. I arrived at the clinic at 9am and was only nervous up to 9.30am when I met Nicos, the surgeon and the four ‘nurses’. From then until 8pm the whole experience was far more relaxing and bearable than I’d ever thought it would be! Nicos was absolutely brilliant and the ladies superb, all of the staff were relaxed and very caring. Our long ‘chats’ made the day go smoothly and quickly.

On a 0 to 10 pain scale I can honestly say I felt only 2 , or maybe 3, at any time throughout the proceedings, and I’ve often been told my pain threshold is pretty rubbish ! I drove home after all was done and again carefully followed the list of
do’s and don’ts for 7-10 days. During that period Mark rang me in the morning every day . These calls
were so reassuring and motivating , (though we often spoke about anything and everything besides hair !)
I have never met Mark face to face but I feel that he became a ‘mate’ over the 2 week period and I know if I ring him with any query whatsoever in the near future, he’ll be happy to help. Looking back now I realise he was as important as Nicos throughout the whole proceedings.

I’m glad I only rang one clinic. I can’t believe any other would be as good as HTS. I would gladly recommend them to everyone who is considering having a hair transplant.

I Haven’t Got Wayne Rooney’s Money

After 15 years or so of watching my hair slowly recede And thinking it is now finally at the point where I can’t pretend I’ve still got hair anymore and will have to start shaving it off, which I did a couple of times before to try it and really did not feel comfortable with a shaved head at all. So I start to think my only other option is to look at an hair transplant which I would love to do but don’t think I would be able to afford it, so I start where most people probably start by researching online and soon realise there is a bewildering amount of information out there.

It was pretty scary to make the first few phone calls to some of these websites, am I doing the right thing will I get ripped off. Anyway as luck would have it one of the first calls I make just because it is closest to where I live was to Hair Transplant Surgeries at Mapperley Park Clinic who set me up with a meeting with Dr Harris Haseeb, straight away as soon as I sat down with him he went through lots of things and gave me lots of information in a very straight forward and non sales way making me very comfortable. He also put me in contact with a guy who had already had a transplant who I went to see and between the two of them made the decision a lot easier.

On the day of the surgery I was obviously very nervous but everyone at the clinic was great and made the whole experience very easy, the whole procedure went very well and was a lot less discomfort than I expected, the whole team really put me at ease and gave me all the information I required to get through the next couple of weeks of recovery.

The first night after surgery was probably the most difficult mainly trying to sleep without catching any of the transplanted follicles. Then for few days after having to be very careful washing your hair. I never had too much discomfort in the days after surgery just a few headaches which standard painkillers sorted. I was back at work after 3 days and have not looked back since, my hair has constantly improved after the first couple months or so in which you are waiting for it to grow through and now I am very happy with my new hair and am so glad I went through with it, I feel so much better in myself and feel much more confident in the way I look.

I had my hair transplant April 2017. I first spoke with Mark on the phone and arranged a home consultation with Chris. Brilliant home consultation, loads of information and a really friendly guy. I booked my surgery within weeks.
I had my surgery at the sk:n clinic in Nottingham. Clean, friendly and my surgery day was just good fun. Great people and I felt right at home. I’ve had continuous phone calls and txt convocations with mark since my surgery and he has been on hand to guide me and reassure me through the “waiting” period of my hair transplant to start growing. The best thing I’ve ever done and could not be happier with the people I chose to do it through. And to top it off the price beat every other quote hands down.

I’ve got a nice little story for you,

Last week I went to meet a mate in Nottingham.

I rang him up and he said I’m in Tony & Guy having a haircut.. made my way there, not to him disturb I took a photo of him sitting in the chair then sent it him via WhatsApp to let him know I was there

Before I got there he’d been telling the stylist cutting his hair about my transplant, how successful it was etc.. when I arrived he pointed me out to her..next thing I know I’ve got half a dozen Tony & Guy hairstylists (men and women) looking and examining my hair…saying stuff like ‘no way’ .. can’t believe it’s a transplant etc… 😀👌👌👌👌

At the start of 2018 I decided to enquire about having a hair transplant done because I wasn’t happy with my image. I began my research like most of us on the internet and social media. The first company was overseas, and after them replying via the speaker phone on What’s app I instantly decided that the service was not as professional as I hoped so I then went back to google to continue my search. I come across another clinic on social media where I had to travel to their clinic which was over 100 miles away from my home in Southampton. After 2 consultations one with the nurse which cost me £25 and the second with the surgeon which was £100 this company got back to me with a price which was well above my budget which was £8,000. I left the clinic gutted because I knew I financially wasn’t in a position to afford the large sum. On my drive home I remembered 2 of my friends from years back had a hair transplant so dropped both them a message to ask for their surgeons details. Immediately I had a reply from 1 of the guys sending me Marks number and reassuring me that he will look after me and better the price easily considering I was only receding  on my temples. On the way home from the other clinic I called Mark (on my hands free of course) and from the very first conversation he gave me more confidence that I can still get my transplant within my budget. Mark offered me a consultation at 5pm the following day – I told Mark I couldn’t get to London for 5pm because of work etc – Mark then asked why I would go to London because Chris the consultation man would come to my home and best of all the consultation is FREE of charge. So the next day Chris come to my home. Chris was very prompt and easygoing and talked me through everything I needed to know. Chris was very clear on the procedure I needed and gave great details of the process. Chris left my house after giving me an extraordinary price for my work I needed with no pressure at all to sign up for a hair transplant. As soon as Chris left I knew that this clinic was going to be the one I finally made the choice to go with. Mark then called me to ask how everything went and was amazed that he told me they could fit me in their Nottingham clinic just 6 weeks later. Myself like most people don’t have thousands in a pot for a hair transplant so I requested if they offer a Finance option. Well, I got been better then finance because Mark set me up a 2 year 0% interest with a very small deposit needed. In the lead up to the minor operation Mark was great calling me and making sure I was ready and also helping me sort the hotel etc. On Monday 13th March I left southampton after work to head to My hotel in Nottingham before my operation the following day. Mark called me again to talk me through the plan in the morning which is great if your nervous – I wasn’t nervous at all but some people can be. I arrived bright and early at the clinic in Nottingham and everyone from the clinic including receptionists, nurses, caretaker and Dr Rogers were very friendly. The operation itself does not hurt at all – it’s very similar to the dentist when have local anaesthetic which numbs the area treated. Once this is done you a are numb and can chill out, watch tv, play on you phone or even sleep. I was constantly chatting to the two nurses who was working with Dr Rogers the whole time we was there. At around 1pm I had lunch made for me of my choice before the second part of the surgery where the service was finished around 4pm. I left the surgery and was driven home by my girlfriend with a bandage around the back of my head. I had some red dots that last no more then 48 hours and can only describe a feeling like a bit of sun burn. I am now on day 8 of my recovery and am so happy with my results from the operation. The heeling process has been very easy but you have to listen to the advice of the experts to get the best results. Mark has phoned me every day since the operation making sure I’m doing the correct things. We have spoke on the phone about 30 times and he has instructed me very clear, even how to wash my hair. If my girlfriend sees my phone bill and sees his number on there 30 times she will be asking who he is I think! If you are looking for hair transplant or just some advice – give mark a call and they will assist you in the best way possible. I can’t thank these guys enough and come Christmas I’m looking forward to asking for hair gel and a comb…

When I arrived at the clinic on Harley Street I was welcomed warmly by the staff and did not have to wait long before the Surgeon (Dr Richard Rogers) came and introduced himself. I then sat down with Dr Rogers who spent time getting to know me, asking very detailed questions. He then spent some time with me penciling on different hairlines giving me plenty of time to think, whilst giving his expert opinion and advice on what would look the most realistic. When I had decided on the placement of my new hair line Dr Rogers made sure that I was happy with the outline drawn one last time walking round showing me it from different angles using a mirror. Through Dr Rogers being so intent on making sure I was 100% happy with the procedure before going ahead really helped me feel comfortable and sure with my decision. With my hairline drawn and having been made to feel completely relaxed by Dr Rogers I was walked to the surgery. Even then Dr Rogers continued to make me feel comfortable introducing me to each of his nurses and explaining each step to me in detail of what they would be doing whilst he performed the procedure.

Having talked through the procedure with me and going over everything in extreme detail Dr Rogers asked me to place myself on the chair and then began to adjust the position making sure that I was completely comfortable. Now that I was sat comfortably and ready for the procedure to begin Dr Rogers began to guide me through each step before doing so. To begin with he explained that he would be administering general anesthetic to numb the surrounding area, and told me that it may hurt a little like a pinch. However, I did not feel a thing! In fact I didn’t even realise Dr Rogers had begun, he was so gentle and light handed I was shocked and of course extremely pleased! With the first part out of the way and the surrounding area completely numb, Dr Rogers told me that he would now begin to remove the strip of skin. At this stage I could honestly not believe how it was possible that I could not feel my skin being cut away. Throughout the procedure I was not once in pain and Dr Rogers continually made sure that I was ok and checked that I was in no kind of pain.

Better still Dr Rogers talked to me throughout the procedure and joined in with conversations between the nurses and myself. This really made me feel at ease and at times I nearly forgot that I was having a hair transplant. With my strip of skin removed and the nurses now taking each hair follicle from the skin, Dr Rogers began to stitch my skin back together. Even now I could not feel a thing and before I knew it Dr Rogers had finished. Whilst the nurses continued to separate the hair follicles Dr Rogers offered me some water and asked if I had any food to eat to help boost my sugar levels. Once I had eaten a snack and topped myself up with water Dr Rogers made sure that I was comfortable before the procedure continued. He then explained that he would be administering some local anesthetic to the surrounding area for the hair follicles to be placed. With the area numbed and having been told what was to happen next Dr Rogers began to make tiny pin pricks into my skin for the hair follicles to be placed in by his nurses. I cannot stress enough how I did not feel a thing and it was over with so quickly, he was a magician with his hands! It was now time for the final part of the procedure; the nurses began to delicately place my hair follicles in one by one.

With the procedure now finished and my new hairline complete, I was given plenty of time to slowly sit myself up. Dr Rogers then offered me some water and food to help boost my sugar levels. Now that I had my bearings back, Dr Rogers walked me into a quiet room and showed me to a mirror. He then said that he would leave me for a few minutes to look at the hairline. After a few minutes had passed he knocked on the door and asked if I was happy with the outcome, to which I found myself near on speechless! I told him how happy I was with it and continually thanked him for doing such an amazing job. He then asked me to take a seat and began to explain in detail how to care for my new hair each day and gave me a detailed plan on paper. He then gave me a spray that he explained would help to clean any blood away from the surrounding area. After making sure that I was completely happy with the outcome and asking if I had any questions Dr Rogers shook my hand and wished me the best of luck with my new hairline.
